Job Description
About the Company
Onerway is a fast-scaling, cross-border payment service provider (PSP) helping merchants process card and alternative payments globally. This is a rare opportunity to shape the foundation of a next-generation payments business at a critical inflection point. We are looking for a driven Business Development Manager to build and scale Onerway's global channel partner network — driving qualified merchant deal flow through referral relationships rather than direct outbound. Based in Singapore, this role operates globally and works closely with commercial teams to convert referred opportunities into revenue.
Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and onboard channel/referral partners globally — including ISOs, consultants, agencies, accelerators, VCs, industry associations, and complementary technology vendors — who can generate qualified merchant deal flow.
- Own the full partner lifecycle: outreach, pitching, commercial structuring (referral fees, revenue share, tiering), agreement negotiation, onboarding, and ongoing relationship management.
- Build and manage a partner pipeline across Onerway's priority verticals — e-commerce, gaming, entertainment, and SAAS — with a focus on partners embedded in those merchant communities.
- Design and continuously refine partner incentive structures and referral programs to maximize activation and deal flow quality.
- Act as the primary relationship owner for referral partners post-onboarding, driving partner engagement, deal submission volume, and conversion rates.
- Work closely with the direct BD/Sales teams to ensure smooth handoff of partner-referred leads into the sales pipeline, and with Product, Compliance, and Legal to structure partner agreements.
- Track and report on partner-sourced pipeline, conversion, and revenue contribution to support forecasting and program investment decisions.
- Represent Onerway at industry events, conferences, and partner ecosystems globally to build the channel network and brand visibility.
Qualifications
- 3 - 5 years of experience in channel partnerships, business development, or affiliate/referral partner management, ideally within fintech, payments, SAAS, or related industries.
- Existing network within the e-commerce, gaming, entertainment, or SaaS ecosystems (consultants, agencies, accelerators, associations, complementary vendors) is a strong plus.
- Strong commercial acumen — comfortable structuring referral economics and negotiating partner agreements independently.
- Self-driven and resourceful, with the ability to manage a globally distributed partner base across time zones and cultures.
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to keep partners engaged and productive over the long term, not just at signing.
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin.
- Frequent travel expected, given the global scope of the partner network.
