Job Description - Catering Services Manager
Position Overview
The Catering Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of all catering operations to ensure excellent service delivery, customer satisfaction, and compliance with food safety standards. This role involves managing staff, liaising with clients, maintaining budgets, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the catering department.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations Management
Oversee daily catering operations, including food preparation, delivery, and service.
Ensure adherence to hygiene, health, and safety regulations (NEA, SFA, MOM standards).
Manage inventory, procurement, and cost control. - Client & Event Management
Liaise with clients to understand catering needs and customize menus/services accordingly.
Plan and coordinate catering for corporate functions, events, and regular contracts.
Handle customer feedback and resolve service issues promptly. - Team Leadership
Supervise, train, and motivate catering staff to deliver high-quality service.
Prepare staff schedules and allocate resources effectively.
Ensure compliance with company policies and service standards. - Financial & Administrative Duties
Monitor catering budgets, quotations, and invoicing.
Track KPIs and prepare operational reports for management review.
Negotiate with suppliers for best pricing while ensuring quality standards.
Job Requirements
- Education & Experience
Diploma/Degree in Hospitality, Food & Beverage Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in catering management, F&B operations, or hospitality industry.
Proven track record in managing large-scale catering events and contracts. - Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Customer-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of food hygiene, safety standards, and regulatory requirements in Singapore.
Ability to handle multiple projects, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in MS Office and catering management software is an advantage. - Other Requirements
Flexibility to work on weekends, public holidays, and irregular hours as required by events.
Physically fit to manage operational duties (where required).
