We are looking for a commercially driven Category Manager to lead sourcing strategies for electrical components and cable assemblies, ensuring strong supplier partnerships that support innovation, quality, and reliable supply.
You will collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to build a competitive and resilient supplier network that supports new product development and ongoing production. This role offers strong regional exposure and the opportunity to influence supplier strategy in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
KeyResponsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to achieve cost competitiveness, quality performance, and supply continuity.
- Lead RFQs, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and long-term agreements.
- Partner with engineering teams to support new product introduction and production transfer activities.
- Drive supplier performance improvements in cost, quality, delivery, and capacity.
- Conduct cost analysis and market benchmarking to identify value improvement opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and strategic suppliers.
- Expand and manage regional and global supplier networks for electrical components and cable assemblies.
- Ensure suppliers meet required quality, compliance, and IP protection standards.
- Monitor supplier performance and contribute to measurable cost and productivity improvements.
- Lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives from concept through volume production.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or category management for electrical or mechatronic components.
- Experience working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams on technical sourcing projects.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills.
- Able to interpret drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.
- Experience supporting supplier involvement during product development stages is advantageous.
- Independent, proactive, and effective in a fast-moving environment.
