Job Summary
Manage and lead canteen operations to ensure efficient service delivery, compliance with hygiene standards, and continuous improvement through team leadership and vendor coordination.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute end-to-end canteen operations, including manpower planning and managing daily service flow to ensure smooth site execution
- Lead and supervise frontline teams by planning rosters and allocating duties to optimize workforce productivity
- Develop and enforce SOPs, deliver coaching, and conduct on-the-job training to enhance team capabilities and service quality
- Monitor team performance regularly and address operational gaps promptly to maintain high service standards
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to manage inventory and implement basic cost control measures
- Ensure consistent compliance with food hygiene and workplace safety standards across all operations
- Resolve operational issues efficiently and escalate critical risks to management for timely intervention
- Support administrative tasks and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory or operations experience in F&B, canteen, or food court operations
- Diploma or higher in Business, Hospitality, or related field preferred
- Familiarity with Singapore food service operating environment and hygiene practices
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in English additional languages are an advantage for vendor and team communication
