Responsibilities
- Instruct Taekwondo classes for children and adults, leading groups of 10 to 20 students to develop their skills effectively
- Guide and mentor junior instructors to enhance their teaching capabilities and class management
- Structure and create learning curricula to ensure progressive skill development and engaging class content
- Manage multiple tasks independently while maintaining organization and responsibility in a fast-paced environment
- Communicate clearly and collaborate with team members to foster a supportive and effective learning environment
- Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs and maintain high-quality instruction under pressure
- Commit to working a 6-day week including weekday evenings and both Saturdays and Sundays
Required competencies and certifications
- Certified Taekwondo Black Belt, preferably recognized by the Singapore Taekwondo Federation
- Ability to work weekday evenings and weekends (both Saturdays and Sundays)
- Proficient command of spoken and written English
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Coaching certification in Taekwondo or related martial arts
- Experience in structuring and creating learning curricula for Taekwondo classes
