Performs duties comparable to that of a Senior Technician, utilizing the added skills and knowledge that comes with earning an Associate's or bachelor's degree in a testing-related field
Designs, sets-up and performs a variety of test according to customer specifications and requirements
Requires very little supervision and technical input of a Department Manager, Principal Technician, Project Coordinator or Engineer
Possess the ability to mentor and train technicians who have less experience through effective communication of technical data
Ability to transfer technical knowledge/requirements and successfully satisfy and meet customer specifications
Skills / Qualifications
Working knowledge of laboratory safety
HS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed
Possesses a recognized scientific or engineering qualification, or significant experience in a testing related field through which an equivalent level of knowledge has been attained
In-depth understanding of testing concepts for electronic and temperature calibration
Analyzes and compiles testing data from the tests performed
Possess strong computer skills
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus
