Job Summary
The C&S Engineer is responsible for the design, coordination, and execution of civil and structural works for construction projects. The role ensures that all structural elements are designed and constructed in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and local regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and review civil and structural works, including foundations, substructures, and superstructures
- Prepare and check structural calculations, drawings, and technical specifications
- Coordinate with architects, M&E engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of works
- Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and relevant authorities on technical matters
- Monitor site progress and ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Assist in submission of plans and documentation to authorities, including Building and Construction Authority
- Address and resolve design and site issues in a timely manner
- Support tendering, cost estimation, and procurement processes
- Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and regulations
Job Requirements
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized institution
- Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in civil and structural works in Singapore
- Familiar with local codes of practice and submission procedures
- Proficient in engineering software (e.g., STAAD, ETABS, SAFE) and AutoCAD
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel design
- Good understanding of construction methods and site coordination
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in large-scale residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
