Job Summary
The Assistant M&E Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical and electrical (M&E) works across projects. This role ensures that all M&E activities are carried out in compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards, while meeting project timelines and budget requirements.
- Assist the M&E Manager in overseeing all mechanical and electrical works on-site
- Coordinate with site construction, structural team, Architect, consultants, subcontractors, and relevant authorities on M&E matters
- Review M&E drawings, specifications, and technical submissions
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of M&E works
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Support testing & commissioning (T&C) activities and ensure proper documentation
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to M&E systems
- Prepare reports, method statements, and project documentation
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, including those by Building and Construction Authority and other relevant authorities
- Assist in cost control, variation orders, and procurement of M&E materials and services
- Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by the M&E Manager and Deputy M&E Manager
Job Requirement:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in M&E works within construction projects in Singapore, building project will be an advantage
- Familiar with local codes, standards, and submission procedures
- Knowledge of systems such as HVAC, fire protection, plumbing & sanitary, and electrical systems
- Experience in coordinating with authorities and consultants
- Strong problem-solving and technical skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD (BIM knowledge is an advantage)
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
