Business Process Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with department stakeholders to understand existing workflows, pain points, and business objectives through interviews, workshops, and process walkthroughs.
• Document current-state (as-is) processes and define future-state (to-be) processes, capturing requirements clearly and completely, with a strong focus on simplification, standardisation, and automation opportunities
• Identify and assess opportunities for automation, digitalization or AI enablement, and categorising tasks and processes by their suitability for automation, AI assistance, system integration (e.g. with SAP), or remaining manual
• Serve as the primary liaison between business departments and IT, translating business needs into clear functional requirements and ensuring IT-delivered solutions meet user expectations
• Prepare process maps, requirement specifications, user stories, and supporting documentation
• Support testing, validation, and rollout of automation and AI solutions, gathering user feedback and helping drive adoption
• Maintain documentation of processes, requirements, and improvement initiatives for ongoing reference.
• Contribute to a shared repository of reusable automation use cases, templates, and best practices

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in business analysis, IT systems integration, or process improvement.
• Solid IT foundation with the ability to understand how systems and data flow across an organisation. E.g. Good understanding of: End-to-end business processes (finance, ops, trading preferred), How systems interact (e.g. ERP like SAP, data flows, APIs)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage business users at all levels and translate between business and technical language.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify inefficiencies and redesign processes for automation and the ability to break down complex workflows.
• Comfortable documenting processes and requirements clearly and concisely.
• Comfortable working in a regional, multi-country environment and offshore delivery team.

Preferred / Advantageous

• Familiarity with automation and AI tools such as Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio), RPA, or similar.
• SAP processes (FI/CO/MM/SD) exposure is a plus
• Understanding of data analysis and reporting tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
• Certification in business analysis (e.g. CBAP/CCBA) or relevant Microsoft/automation credentials.
• Exposure to governance considerations (security, data privacy, AI usage policies).
