Role Overview:
We are hiring a Business Manager to support the COO in overseeing strategic initiatives, operational planning, and cross-functional coordination. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth execution of priorities across business operations, transformation projects, and governance activities. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong execution skills and the ability to work seamlessly across teams and regions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Business Management
- Support the COO in driving strategic priorities and operational excellence across global functions.
- Prepare high-quality business reviews, executive dashboards, and decision-support materials.
- Track key business KPIs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Operational & Financial Oversight
- Assist in budgeting, cost control, and vendor management activities.
- Collaborate with Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams to support operational planning.
- Drive continuous improvement and efficiency in business processes.
Governance & Coordination
- Manage the cadence of key meetings (e.g., ExCo, Ops committees), including agenda setting, materials preparation, and action tracking.
- Facilitate timely follow-ups on decisions and deliverables from leadership discussions.
- Ensure consistent communication between the COO's office and other business units.
Program & Project Execution
- Lead or support cross-functional projects and change initiatives, from planning to implementation.
- Monitor project timelines, risks, and interdependencies, and escalate issues as needed.
- Work closely with transformation, operations, and technology teams to ensure delivery.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Draft executive communications, reports, and regulatory materials on behalf of the COO.
- Represent the COO's office in internal meetings or working groups as required.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field. MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree preferred.
- 812 years of experience in asset management, financial services, or management consulting.
- Prior experience in a COO support, business management, or strategic execution role.
- Deep understanding of investment management operations and regulatory environment.
- Strong communication, analytical, and project management skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work with senior stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience managing strategic transformation or change initiatives.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Familiarity with project management platforms (e.g., JIRA, Asana).
- High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism.
