Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team to achieve business and service KPIs.
- Drive business development initiatives to grow general insurance portfolio and achieve premium targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with agents, brokers, and corporate clients to support client retention and acquisition.
- Manage underwriting activities for commercial and industrial risks within delegated authority and company guidelines.
- Prepare competitive quotations, review renewals, and recommend appropriate premium and policy adjustments.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and identify opportunities for business growth.
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and operations teams to ensure smooth service delivery and regulatory compliance.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and support to team members to enhance performance and productivity.
- Coordinate risk surveys and support risk assessment activities when required.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in general insurance, underwriting, or business development.
- Possess Certificate in General Insurance (CGI).
- Experience in team leadership or supervisory role would be an added advantage
- Strong business development, client relationship management, and underwriting knowledge.
