This role involves identifying and pursuing business opportunities in the property development sector with a focus on data centre and logistics centre projects across the APAC region. The position requires strong market awareness, relationship‑building capability, and the ability to engage effectively with external and internal stakeholders. The Assistant BD Manager will be responsible for generating leads, supporting strategic initiatives, preparing proposals, and coordinating with regional teams to drive growth within the organisation's development portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, emerging trends, and potential development sites for data centre and logistics projects.
- Generate leads through prospecting, cold outreach, and follow‑up engagement.
- Identify and qualify developers, building owners, and corporate clients for potential partnerships.
- Meet with prospective and existing clients/partners to understand their needs and investment strategies.
- Build and maintain a strong professional network with developers, investors, authorities, and operators to support continuous business opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver business presentations and proposals to senior stakeholders and potential partners.
- Gain familiarity with property development processes, regulations, and financing relevant to data centre and logistics development.
- Assist in negotiations with government bodies, partners, financial institutions, and other stakeholders for project planning and approvals.
- Collaborate with regional offices to align business strategies and ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, ideally with exposure to data centre, logistics centre, or mission‑critical property development.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical ability to identify and act on new business opportunities, particularly in the data centre sector.
- Familiarity with regional regulatory frameworks, submission processes, and approval procedures, especially those related to infrastructure‑intensive developments.
