Position Overview
A Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, driving revenue growth, and building strong client relationships to expand the company's market presence.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Business Growth & Strategy
Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company targets
Identify new markets, industries, and potential clients
Conduct market research and competitor analysis
Prepare business plans and growth forecasts
2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
Generate leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, and digital channels
Arrange and attend client meetings and presentations
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients
Understand customer needs and propose suitable solutions
3. Sales & Revenue Generation
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
Prepare and deliver proposals, quotations, and tenders
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms
Follow up on leads and close deals effectively
4. Partnership & Networking
Develop strategic partnerships and alliances
Represent the company at business events, trade shows, and conferences
Expand professional network to support business growth
5. Coordination & Reporting
Work closely with marketing, operations, and finance teams
Ensure smooth onboarding of new clients
Prepare regular sales reports and pipeline updates for management
Monitor performance metrics and KPIs
6. Market Intelligence
Track industry trends and competitor activities
Identify risks and new opportunities
Provide feedback to management for product/service improvement
Education Qualification & Experience
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in any field
Experience:
Minimum 7-8 years of experience in sales or business development
Proven track record of achieving sales targets
Experience in B2B/B2C environment (depending on industry)
