Job Summary

Drive business growth by identifying and developing new opportunities in construction and building materials. Build client relationships, prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts to achieve sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the construction and building materials industry to expand market presence
• Source and engage potential clients including main contractors, developers, consultants, and construction-related companies to generate leads
• Establish and maintain strong business relationships with existing and prospective clients to support long-term growth
• Promote the company's construction services, steel products, and related solutions to potential customers to increase sales
• Prepare detailed business proposals, quotations, and tender submissions in collaboration with relevant departments to secure projects
• Conduct market research to identify new projects, analyze industry trends, and uncover potential business opportunities
• Develop and implement business development strategies aimed at achieving the company's sales and revenue targets
• Attend client meetings, networking events, and project discussions to explore and secure new business opportunities
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms with clients to finalize agreements beneficial to the company
• Coordinate with project, sales, and operations teams to ensure customer requirements are accurately met and projects run smoothly
• Monitor competitors and market developments to identify opportunities for business growth and competitive advantage
• Prepare regular reports on sales performance, business opportunities, and project pipelines to inform management decisions
• Perform other duties as assigned by management to support business objectives

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or the construction industry
• Experience in the construction, steel, or building materials industry is advantageous
• Good understanding of construction industry processes, project tendering, and market trends
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills demonstrated in client-facing roles
• Ability to identify new business opportunities and establish long-term client relationships
• Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a proven ability to meet business targets
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications for preparing proposals and reports
• Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and business development activities as required
