Role Overview
The Business Development Director will be responsible for driving growth in the China market by identifying, developing, and converting high-quality sales leads. This role requires a deep understanding of the Chinese business landscape, strong relationship-building skills, and proven experience in generating new business opportunities. The Director will work closely with global and regional leadership teams to expand market presence, develop strategic partnerships, and ensure sustainable revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
. Lead Generation & Market Development
. Identify, research, and qualify new business opportunities in China.
. Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, and referrals.
. Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to spot opportunities for growth.
. Client Engagement & Relationship Management
. Establish and nurture senior-level relationships with prospective clients, key stakeholders, and industry partners.
. Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities in China.
. Deliver tailored presentations and proposals to potential clients.
. Sales Strategy & Execution
. Develop and execute a business development plan to meet lead generation and revenue targets.
. Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, product) to design solutions that meet client needs.
. Negotiate and close high-value deals, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
. Leadership & Collaboration
. Build, manage, and mentor a local business development team (where applicable).
. Report regularly on pipeline, performance metrics, and market intelligence.
. Act as the key liaison between the China market and global headquarters.
. With 10 years and above business development experiences in China Market.
. Understand of the Chinese business environment
