Job Description
Our client is a leading MNC in the Trading industry, with an established presence across international markets. We are currently seeking a Business Coordinator to join the Chemicals Business Unit, supporting the smooth execution of international trading and logistics activities.
You will provide end-to-end operational and administrative support, coordinating shipments, documentation, inventory reporting and internal workflows.
You will work closely with suppliers, customers/counterparties, freight forwarders, warehouses and internal stakeholders to ensure shipments are executed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and monitor import, export and offshore shipments from order placement through to delivery.
- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, warehouses and internal logistics teams to ensure timely movement of goods.
- Track shipment schedules and proactively follow up on delays, discrepancies or operational issues.
- Ensure shipment activities comply with contractual, trade and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and coordinate shipping documents, including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading and Certificates of Origin.
- Review documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to submission to customers, suppliers and counterparties.
- Support shipment tracking, inventory/stock reporting and master data maintenance.
- Support contract and trade-related administrative activities.
- Assist with SOP maintenance, process transitions and continuous improvement initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma/Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade or related discipline.
- 1+ year of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain or trade operations; 3+ years for Diploma holders.
- Experience in the chemical industry or bulk shipments is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of international trading, shipping documentation and Incoterms.
- Familiarity with payment terms, contract management systems and ERP workflows.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- LC & DP knowledge is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
