Business Analyst - Payments

We are hiring for Business Analyst with Payments experience @ Singapore

Key responsibilities:

• Serve as a primary contact with APAC regional vendors and understand vendor contracts, technical requirements, and project deliverables.
• Interpret regulatory documentation and related project communications and translate key requirements into actionable inputs for the project team.
• Actively participate in regular calls and email communications with project stakeholders, including Business, Technology, and application vendor teams.
• Hands-on experience executing projects related to payment processing (high-value/low-value), sanctions, payments value chain, and APAC clearing schemes.
• Participate in the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, development, testing, implementation, and deployment.
• Plan, organize, monitor, and control projects using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure efficient and effective project completion. Develop and socialize potential risk mitigation strategies.
• Effectively communicate with managers, peers, business partners, and technology teams regarding deliverables, timelines, dependencies, risks, and support requirements.
• Work on global projects involving stakeholders and technology teams across multiple regions and time zones.
• Create and refine business and functional requirements, conduct data analysis, and document existing systems and processes. Technical delivery experience is an advantage.
• Conduct daily Scrum calls, establish priorities, manage backlogs, and track project deliverables.
• Coordinate and conduct testing cycles, define acceptance criteria, support unit testing and QA, and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Support production delivery activities, release management, and release-weekend routines.

Requirements

• Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather business requirements, analyze existing capabilities, identify priority gaps, and recommend opportunities for improvement.
• Proven experience working on projects impacting APAC regions, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business, technology, and vendor stakeholders.
• Strong banking domain knowledge, particularly within the payments domain.
• Experience as a Business Analyst, facilitating requirement-gathering sessions with stakeholders and SMEs and translating high-level business needs into functional requirements, user journeys, epics, features, and user stories.
• Ability to analyze complex business processes, identify gaps and dependencies, and develop clear and comprehensive requirements documentation.
• Experience supporting Agile/Scrum methodologies, including backlog management, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, prioritization, and stakeholder coordination.
• Strong understanding of payment processing, payment value chains, sanctions, clearing systems, and APAC payment schemes.
• Experience coordinating SIT, UAT, QA, unit testing, defect management, and production releases.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, project dependencies, risks, timelines, and deliverables across global teams.
• Acts as a Product/Business Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support scope definition, requirement decisions, prioritization, and solution delivery.
