- Provide strong functional expertise in payment processing platforms covering International Payments, Real-Time Payments, Cash & Liquidity Management, Compliance/AML, FX, SWIFT and ISO messaging, as well as clearing and settlement mechanisms.
- Offer subject matter expertise in Corporate Payments, Correspondent Banking, and Indirect Participant Banking.
- Interpret Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and gather requirements through workshops, brainstorming sessions, and questionnaires while collaborating with stakeholders such as Product Managers (global and local), Client Services, Implementation, Operations, and Finance teams within the payment engine context.
- Translate identified functional requirements into payment engine capabilities and design solutions to support end-to-end payment processing needs.
- Analyze business requirements and convert them into well-defined functional specifications documented in standard project artifacts.
- Perform fit-gap analysis to identify discrepancies between requirements and system capabilities, and design solutions that leverage payment engine functionalities to bridge these gaps.
- Conduct defect triage for issues identified by the QA team and drive resolution to ensure system stability and quality.
- Define and validate the scope of requirements within the payment platform and the broader cash management ecosystem.
- Provide Level 3 production support by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving application issues.
- Support incident recovery processes with agility, recognizing the critical nature of payment systems.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and deliver user training when necessary.
Analysis and Design of Payment Engine Solutions:
- Adhere to business analysis best practices and actively engage stakeholders across front-to-back functions.
- Take ownership of analyzing functional requirements from business stakeholders, users, and technology teams.
- Manage requirements, propose solution design options, and guide the team in decision-making.
- Evaluate alternative IT solutions and recommend the most suitable approach.
- Apply deep domain expertise in cross-border payment processing to help define effective business solutions in collaboration with key sponsors.
- Ensure delivered services align with and support the overall business strategy.
- Assess the impact of change requests, ad hoc initiatives, and technical challenges on project timelines.
- Coordinate with user groups and interface teams to ensure seamless integration with financial services systems.
- Manage stakeholders, risks, issues, quality standards, and project governance controls.
Testing and Support:
- Contribute to the testing and support of both domestic and cross-border payment applications.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams to bridge the gap between functional requirements and technical implementation.
- Provide functional guidance to developers, tech leads, business analysts, and dependent applications to resolve queries.
- Deliver Level 3 production support by analyzing and resolving defects escalated from Level 1 and Level 2 support teams.
- Work with support and technical teams to investigate and resolve system defects.
- Ensure compatibility with continuous integration environments.
- Develop and execute tests to ensure the stability and robustness of implemented fixes.
Qualifications and Profile:
- Possess over 10 years of hands-on experience in payment systems with strong domain expertise.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of domestic payment systems (e.g., RTGS such as RITS, FISC, CHATS, MEPS) and cross-border payments (MT/MX, CBPR+).
- Have strong expertise in ISO 20022 standards, SWIFT rulebooks, message formats, validation rules, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain a solid understanding of the end-to-end cash management ecosystem.
- Bring hands-on experience in implementing payment engines (in-house or vendor-based).
- Be comfortable working in complex systems within an international environment.
- Understand all phases of the IT system development lifecycle.
- Exhibit strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex concepts into clear documentation.
- Possess excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams.
- Focus on delivering solutions efficiently and within timelines.
- Show proactiveness with strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Hold a Bachelors or Masters degree from a reputable university (preferably in Computer Science, Electronics, or related fields).

- Have awareness of software development methodologies and processes.
