Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyse, and document business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, user stories, and test plans to support software development.
  • Analyse and document current and future-state business processes to support implementation, training, and continuous improvement.
  • Produce clear process flows,workflows, and business analysis documentation, and obtain client sign-off prior to development.
  • Act as the primary liaison between clients and the development team throughout the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Design, execute, and manage test scenarios, test cases, and UAT support to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Manage change requests on a day-to-day basis, ensuring scope, timelines, and project plans remain aligned.
  • Challenge business assumptions and promote standardised solutions, minimising unnecessary custom development.
  • Ensure requirements align with company standards, policies, and solution frameworks during project definition.
  • Critically evaluate information from multiple stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and break down high-level requirements into clear, actionable details.
  • Prepare end-user documentation and support training activities to ensure successful system adoption.
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to define technical solutions, balancing usability, performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Liaise with internal IT teams to ensure development priorities align with business needs.
  • Provide day-to-day Level 2 application support related to software usage.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives at department or company level.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, appropriate to the role.
  • Travel to customer, supplier, or other company sites as required.

Requirements

  • Recognised Bachelor's degree or above in Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience working on project-based implementations, delivering within agreed budgets and timelines.
  • Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering and specification writing for information systems.
  • Exposure to end-to-end project lifecycle, from requirements through implementation and support.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of how to translate business needs into functional and operational requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills proficiency in English is required, and Chinese is an advantage.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
