Job Desctiption & Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily construction site activities and workforce operations.
- Ensure that construction work complies with approved plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular status reports for management.
- Coordinate and schedule work with subcontractors, suppliers, and other site personnel.
- Inspect work to ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and project requirements.
- Manage material deliveries, site logistics, and inventory to avoid delays.
- Enforce safety procedures and conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
- Identify potential problems or delays and take corrective action to keep projects on schedule.
- Communicate effectively with engineers, architects, project managers, and clients.
- Maintain site documentation, including daily reports, timesheets, and incident logs.
- Tender coordination including compilation of tender documents and ensure all mandatory documents are completed, accurate for submission tender.
- Management of foreign workers affairs and social activities.
- Perform tender measurements and quantity take-offs, verifying construction quantities against drawings and specifications to support tendering, cost estimation, and project valuation processes.
- Attend and resolve residents complaints or feedback promptly and professionally, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining positive community relations.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
Experienced:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in building construction supervision or a related field.
- Proven experience in residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in project management and site reporting software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, Excel).
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple teams and tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
Working Conditions:
- Based primarily on-site at active construction locations.
- May involve working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Requires wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- May include extended hours or weekend work depending on project needs.
- Able to work under pressure and work independently.
- Be willing to travel and transport to any project site across Singapore as required by project assignments and company needs.
