Traineeship Description:
The Science and Technology's Biotransformation team helps drive innovation by leveraging the power of enzyme and fermentation technology along with knowledge in food science for cross category product applications across food & beverages. We are part of the Science & Technology team and are responsible for leveraging technology to drive innovation in the region. We also work closely with our R&D counterparts both locally & globally in this endeavor. These developments serve Nestls purpose to unlock the power of food to enhance the quality of life for everyone, today and for generations to come.

Specific Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with the project team to ensure delivery of objectives within project timeline and manage the activities within the work stream
2. Plan, execute and co-ordinate enzyme and fermentation trials at bench and pilot scale
3. Collaborate with different groups within R&D to perform necessary food analytics to evaluate performance of the technology trials
4. Optimize processing conditions to maximize the technology benefits in the final product (food & beverage)
5. Apply knowledge from food science into industrial application and develop prototypes to demonstrate the technology benefits while ensuring stability in final product
6. Communicate effectively to key stakeholders through timely reports, presentations & prototypes
7. To participate in team's activities like safety, laboratory management, workshop preparation etc.
Qualification:
Masters or Bachelor of Food Science, Biomedical Science (Biotechnology), School of Chemistry, School of Biological Science
Eligibility Criteria:
Singapore Citizens (SCs) and Permanent Residents (PRs) and
a. are fresh graduates from universities (including private and overseas institutions), Polytechnics, and Institutes of Technical Education (ITEs), graduating in CY2024 and CY2025.
b. this includes male individuals who have completed National Service in CY2024 and CY2025.
