Nutrition department's Traineeship Description:
- Establish and build competence in product/process/technology systems development according to project briefs and stage gates in I2L by applying functional
- knowledge, skills and experience to support product innovation and renovation teams from inception through industrialization
- Support teams in break-through products and ensuring food safety, regulatory compliance, Good Foundation, Good Taste, on time launch and within cost limits
- Interact proactively with the other functions within NPTC Nutrition and RDSG to ensure the overall project objectives are met
Specific Responsibilities:
- Assist in product development activities at lab and pilot scale to support Innovation & Renovation (I&R) goals.
- Help project leaders and developers with recipe adjustments, sample preparation, and basic supplier coordination.
- Carry out assigned technical tasks and support product development timelines.
- Share ideas and contribute to discussions on food science and technology.
- Learn and apply knowledge to support product development and project work.
- Prepare simple reports or presentations to share progress with team members or visitors.
- Communicate openly with the team when project scope or priorities change.
- Flag potential issues early and suggest possible solutions.
- Use basic knowledge to help interpret results and solve problems within R&D projects.
Qualification:
Bachelor in Food Science related
Eligibility Criteria:
Singapore Citizens (SCs) and Permanent Residents (PRs) and
a. are fresh graduates from universities (including private and overseas institutions), Polytechnics, and Institutes of Technical Education (ITEs), graduating in CY2024 and CY2025.
b. this includes male individuals who have completed National Service in CY2024 and CY2025.
