Job Summary
Develop and produce accurate 2D shop drawings and BIM models following project standards. Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with company procedures under project management supervision.
Responsibilities
- Produce 2D shop drawings from BIM models accurately, ensuring compliance with Project or Client Drafting Standards and meeting submission schedules
- Maintain organized records of issued and received models, drawings, Clash Reports, and RFIs
- Manage BIM Register in accordance with company ISO Standards and Procedures, ensuring timely completion of drawings
- Perform regular backups and housekeeping of drawing directories to maintain data integrity
- Develop technical plans, sections, details, and 2D/3D schematic diagrams using AutoCAD and in-house software
- Coordinate with other trades and services to ensure shop drawings are accurate in form, fit, and function for 2D/3D submissions
- Ensure full compliance with company Shop Drawings Standard Operating Procedures and contractual design provisions
- Generate clash reports based on provided Matrix data
- Execute assigned tasks under the supervision of the Project Manager
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines
- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD 2D software applications
- Knowledge of Isometric drawings, LOD 350, and Plant 3D software is advantageous
- Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Exhibit strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
