Overview
Ideal Systems is seeking an experienced and driven BIM Engineer to support and standardize our drafting and BIM practices across our Southeast Asia operations. This role will play a key part in establishing consistency, improving efficiency, and supporting regional expansion initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement standardized title blocks for all drawings across Ideal Systems offices in Southeast Asia
- Establish and enforce standards for logos, legends, drawing numbering, and naming conventions across all projects and drawings
- Ensure all personnel producing drawings adhere to the established standards
- Create and manage a centralized cloud-based archiving library for the drafting departments across all three regional offices
- Standardize all proposed schematic diagrams and conceptual design drawings for tender submissions across regional offices
- Provide drafting support to Ideals sales teams for tender and proposal submissions
- Produce wireframe space drawings to support EASE simulation requirements
- Establish and maintain a central archive system for efficient retrieval of as-built drawings for servicing and maintenance teams
- Act as a potential leader for drafting departments across all offices as part of Ideal Systems Southeast Asia expansion strategy
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required to support business and operational needs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- Proven experience in BIM engineering and drafting management, preferably in a regional or multi-office environment
- Strong knowledge of BIM standards, workflows, and best practices
- Experience in developing and implementing drawing standards and documentation systems
- Proficiency in relevant BIM and CAD software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks)
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to work across teams and manage stakeholders in multiple locations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing cloud-based document management systems
- Familiarity with EASE simulation or similar acoustic/space modelling tools
- Prior experience supporting tender submissions and proposal development
