The BIM Coordinator is responsible for leading a team of BIM personnel consisting of BIM Modellers and Specialists to prepare BIM Execution Plan or VDC Execution Plan for the project.
A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:
- Work with project team to define the use of BIM.
- Responsible in setting up BIM standard and template for project which aligns with the Company's standard.
- Responsible of the weekly audit of project BIM model to ensure the QA/QC checklist have been followed.
- Preparation and submission of weekly reporting on BIM model progress.
- Submission of clash detection issues to consultant to monitor the coordination of the model, assist engineer and coordinator to resolve problem.
- Ensure all trade sub-contractors submit their Revit model on a timely basis for coordination, including checking and auditing of their model to align with Company's standard.
- Provide in-house BIM training to modellers, coordinators and other team members.
- Adherence to safety practices in the work place
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Education: Minimum Diploma in Construction Information Technology or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in BIM Modelling
Technical Competencies
- Proficient in Revit and Autocad
- Proficient in generating construction drawing from model
- Preferably with experience in architect or engineering field
