SCOPE
Reporting to the Bartender Supervisor / Bar Manager, the Bartender is responsible for serving food and beverages to guests in the assigned place of work, while providing courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service consistent with the standards of the hotel and in line with Kempinski's DNA values in order to encourage sales and maximize guest satisfaction.
OVERALL OBJECTIVES
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest preferences.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and making recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and report shortages to management.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and alcohol service regulations.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Create a positive guest experience by delivering prompt and attentive service.
- Assist in developing new drink menus and seasonal specials.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience as a Bartender or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of mixology, cocktail preparation, and bar equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (if required by local regulations).
