We are looking for a skilled and creative Bakery Chef to join our team and bring our commitment to quality, consistency, and innovation to life.
What You'll Do
- Produce a wide variety of artisan breads, pastries, cakes, and seasonal baked goods to The Providore standards.
- Develop and test new recipes, seasonal items, and menu innovations.
- Contribute to recipe development and creation of new bakery products in line with our brand philosophy.
- Ensure consistency in flavour, texture, and presentation across all bakery items.
- Manage daily production schedules and support smooth kitchen operations.
- Maintain inventory, ensure stock rotation, and work with the team on ordering ingredients.
- Uphold the highest standards of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and workplace cleanliness.
- Guide, train, and inspire junior team members to grow their skills and passion for baking.
What We're Looking For
- Formal training in Baking, Pastry, or Culinary Arts preferred.
- Proven experience in a bakery, caf, or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of artisan baking techniques and ingredients.
- A creative mindset with an eye for detail and presentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining consistency and quality.
- A team player with good communication skills, passion, and a positive attitude.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
