In Group Operations, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
Key Accountabilities
- Accurate and timely delivery of work assigned by Team Lead
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with the established procedures, policies, product guidelines and standards
- Full compliance with the Bank's policies, guidelines and code of conduct
- Timely escalation of error, problem, exception or unusual transaction to Team Lead, Section Manager or Department Manager
- Achievement of the year-on-year KPI set by Section Manager and Department Manager
Responsibilities
Transaction Management & Compliance
- Process, authorize, and reconcile daily transactions accurately and efficiently, adhering to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs), internal policies, and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure all assigned tasks and transactions comply with operating and compliance procedures.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication:
- Liaise effectively with Business Units, GTS, external counterparties, and customers to obtain necessary instructions, resolve queries, and facilitate transaction completion.
- Cultivate a customer-centric approach to manage workflow and consistently meet or exceed client expectations.
Operational Oversight & Risk Management:
- Perform day-end reconciliation of transactions and monitor controls on entries.
- Allocate and distribute ready-to-process transactions to team members.
- Proactively identify and resolve operational issues, escalating significant incidents or risks in a timely manner.
- Ensure strict adherence to risk and control guidelines/policies.
Problem-Solving & Improvement:
- Provide solutions and recommendations related to trade finance matters.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance quality, productivity, and efficiency within processes.
Team Support & Development:
- Provide guidance and training to junior staff on departmental SOPs, bank policies, and guidelines.
Project Participation & Ad-Hoc Tasks:
- Actively participate in ad-hoc projects, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and system enhancements as assigned.
- Undertake other duties as assigned by the Supervising Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experiences in Trade Operations.
- Degree holder from a recognized University.
- Good working attitude and positive mindset.
- Strong understanding of operational processes, risk management, and compliance principles.
- Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to identify problems, make sound decisions, and resolve operational issues.
- Proficiency in relevant banking systems and software (e.g., Swift).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to meeting performance targets (KPIs).
