Job Title: AV Operations Executive / Technician
Overview
We are seeking a hands-on AV Operations professional to manage the setup, operation, and teardown of audio-visual systems for events, exhibitions, and corporate projects. This role ensures smooth technical delivery and high-quality client experience across all AV productions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Setup & Installation
- Prepare, deliver, and set up AV equipment (LED walls, projectors, sound systems, lighting, control systems)
- Perform cabling, rigging, and system integration on-site
- Ensure proper configuration and testing before event start
2. Live Event Operations
- Operate AV systems during live events (audio mixing, video switching, playback, lighting cues)
- Troubleshoot technical issues in real-time
- Coordinate with show caller, producers, and clients
3. Equipment Management
- Maintain and service AV equipment (cleaning, testing, minor repairs)
- Manage inventory, packing, and logistics for projects
- Ensure equipment readiness and quality control
4. Technical Coordination
- Work with sales/design teams on technical requirements
- Interpret technical drawings and system diagrams
- Liaise with venue technicians and external vendors
5. Warehouse & Logistics
- Assist in loading/unloading equipment
- Ensure proper packing standards to prevent damage
- Support warehouse organization and stock tracking
Requirements
- Diploma / NITEC / Higher NITEC in Audio Engineering, Electronics, or related field
- 1-4 years experience in AV rental / events / production environment
- Basic knowledge of Audio systems (mixers, microphones, speakers)Video systems (LED walls, switchers, signal flow)Lighting systems (DMX, basic programming)
Technical Skills (Preferred)
- Video processors (e.g. Novastar, PixelHue)
- Audio consoles (e.g. Yamaha, Allen & Heath)
- Software: Resolume, vMix, QLab, or similar
- Understanding of signal types: HDMI, SDI, CAT6, fiber
Key Skills
- Strong troubleshooting ability under pressure
- Hands-on, physically fit (equipment handling required)
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work irregular hours (nights/weekends for events)
KPIs / Performance Metrics
- On-time setup and teardown execution
- Zero/low technical failure during live events
- Equipment damage rate / loss control
