AV Commissioning Engineer
Permanent, Full-Time
Singapore - SGD 5500 per month
Monday to Friday, 9:30am 6:00pm (37.5 hours/week)
We are currently hiring an experienced Audio-Visual Commissioning Engineer to join our client, a leading AV integrator, as they are expanding their technical team in Singapore. This role involves working on high-end AV and unified communications projects for enterprise clients across various sectors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring AV systems are fully tested, optimized, and commissioned to the highest standards. Youll collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and technical teams to deliver seamless and reliable AV experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Validate equipment specifications and ensure suitability for each installation
- Liaise with project managers and clients to confirm all technical requirements
- Coordinate with client IT teams to manage network setup, access, and configuration
- Communicate system functionality requirements to control system programmers
- Configure video, audio, control, and network devices
- Test and troubleshoot system racks prior to deployment
- Commission AV systems on-site, including DSP programming, video system setup, and VC configuration
- Participate in client acceptance testing and provide technical training during handover
- Identify and resolve faults related to system design and integration
- Assist in preparing handover documentation and final drawings
Skills & Experience:
- Candidates with less experience may be considered for a Junior Commissioning Engineer role
- Strong technical knowledge of AV and VC equipment from major manufacturers
- Familiarity with current AV technologies and market trends
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with DSP programming (e.g., QSC, Biamp) and audio tuning
- Proficiency in configuring systems from leading AV brands
- Hands-on experience with AV over IP solutions
- Understanding of control systems commissioning (programming skills are a plus)
- Solid grasp of IT and networking fundamentals
