QA Engineer / Test Analyst - Banking Automation

About the Role

We are seeking a QA Engineer / Test Analyst with at least three years of mobile and web application testing experience to support banking technology delivery.

You will perform manual and automated testing, develop JBehave-based BDD automation, prepare test data and work with Product Owners, Developers and QA teams to deliver reliable applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse requirements and develop end-to-end test scenarios and test cases.
• Create and maintain JBehave story files, step definitions and executable automation scripts.
• Perform manual and automated testing of mobile and web applications.
• Prepare and maintain test data.
• Test web services and application integrations.
• Investigate test failures, document results and validate fixes.
• Log, track and manage defects using HP ALM and Jira.
• Maintain test documentation, execution evidence and requirements coverage.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers and Test Engineers throughout Agile delivery.
• Support improvements to reusable test assets and automation coverage.

Requirements

• Minimum three years of relevant software testing experience, covering mobile and web applications.
• Banking-domain testing experience is required.
• Hands-on experience with JBehave, including writing BDD scenarios and implementing the automation needed to execute them.
• Strong understanding of BDD framework components and automation testing principles.
• Experience executing both manual and automated tests.
• Hands-on experience with HP ALM and Jira.
• Experience testing web services.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into comprehensive end-to-end test coverage.
• Working experience in Agile projects.
• Strong analytical, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and collaborate across teams.

Added Advantage

• Experience with Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, SOAP UI or QTP.
• Experience testing mobile and web banking solutions.
• Experience maintaining automation frameworks and reusable testing components.
