About the role
We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer with a strong foundation in Selenium with Java and recent hands-on experience in Playwright to join our team for a key enterprise client project.
In this role, you will maintain existing automation suites and lead the transition/expansion into modern E2E test frameworks. Leveraging your solid background in Java automation along with 6–12 months of practical Playwright experience, you will build, execute, and optimize scalable test suites for web UI and REST APIs using modern AI-assisted tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance Selenium (Java) automation frameworks.
- Build and execute modern E2E test suites using Playwright.
- Leverage AI coding tools to speed up script generation and test data creation.
- Automate testing for Web UI and REST APIs.
- Plug test execution into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / GitLab / GitHub Actions).
What We Are Looking For
- 6+ years of total experience in Software Automation Testing.
- Strong hands-on coding skills in Java with Selenium WebDriver.
- 6 to 12 months or above of recent hands-on experience using Playwright.
- Experience with REST API testing and SQL.
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools.
