Job Summary
We are seeking an Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement automation control systems for industrial applications. The role involves PLC programming, electrical design, system integration, and technical support across project lifecycles. You will collaborate closely with project teams to ensure smooth commissioning and successful system delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement PLC, HMI, and SCADA programs to optimise industrial automation systems
- Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of control systems to ensure reliable and efficient operations
- Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using CAD software
- Prepare technical documentation including functional design specifications, project schedules, and user manuals
- Participate in system integration projects from planning to commissioning
- Attend site surveys and project kick-off meetings to align technical requirements and project scope
- Provide technical support and training to operators and maintenance teams
- Ensure smooth system handover and knowledge transfer to end users
- Work independently to meet project deadlines with a proactive and positive attitude
- Maintain strong communication and customer relationship management throughout project execution
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering or related discipline (Mechatronics preferred)
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
- Knowledge or interest in PLC, HMI, SCADA, or industrial automation systems
- Ability to read or develop electrical drawings is an advantage
- Good communication skills in English (written and spoken) preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
