About the role
As part of the Valaston audit team, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting high-quality audit engagements from start to finish. Reporting to the Cayman Partner and the Global Head of Audit your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a team of audit professionals in the Singapore office, working on Cayman Islands and other offshore audit engagements
- Acting as Audit Director for audit engagements ensuring that audits are conducted in accordance with required professional standards
- Actively working to develop and maintain long-term client relationships and develop new business opportunities in the Asian market. This will involve using your existing professional networks and working to develop new networks
- Managing and overseeing a portfolio of offshore audit engagements and assuming overall responsibility for the management of client deliverables and quality audit files
- Working closely with the Singapore PAC audit partner and management in relation to managing resources, compliance and regulatory matters, staff development and business development
- Working closely with the Cayman Islands office to develop and promote the offshore audit business
- Actively working alongside international audit colleagues based in Ireland and Netherlands to ensure consistent service delivery across offices
- Responsibility for implementing the Audit quality control framework for Valaston in Singapore to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements whilst also ensuring consistency with firm-wide approach
- In conjunction with Group-wide decisions, responsibility for recruiting, selection, developing and coaching of the Singapore offshore audit team to ensure highest levels of output to clients
- Responsibility for the professional development of team members and the day-to-day management of audit staff members based in the Singapore office
- Due to our expanding global client base and the close working relationship with the Cayman Islands and Irish offices, a certain amount of international travel will be expected.
