Job Description

We are currently looking for a an Associate Director in Singapore for the Project Finance Asia team.

Rabobank Project Finance (PF) has consistently been a frontrunner in renewable energy finance and is a leading global bank in this sector. Rabobank PF has offices in New York City, Singapore and Utrecht. PF Asia is based in Singapore and finances key renewable energy projects in the region.

As an Associate Director and a member of Rabobank's Project Finance team you can really make a difference by executing and closing transactions that directly drive the energy transition, develop innovative financing solutions and explore new technologies and new markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Structuring, due diligence and execution of transactions.
  • Interacting with clients.
  • Prepare pitches, term sheets and vetting sheets in co-operation with your deal team.
  • Work on credit applications and credit approval process including interfacing with the risk department.
  • Lead financial modelling efforts (including sensitivities and presentation of results).
  • Work on due diligence of projects, including interaction with multiple external advisors and legal counsels.
  • Prepare periodic reviews and waivers, and collaborate with multiple departments (e.g. legal, finance, mid-office) within the organization to streamline the execution process.
  • Pro-active portfolio management including early identification of stress and taking timely actions
  • Keep abreast with latest market developments.
  • Actively contribute to internal projects related to optimizing the organization and development of the department.

Job Skills And Knowledge

  • Excellent financial modelling skills
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in assessing complex financial transactions
  • Knowledge of credit, legal, tax and lending practices
  • Good interpersonal skills, team-player
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written

  • Integrity and professionalism

Qualifications & Experience

  • Masters degree in Finance from a recognized university
  • 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in banking is desirable
  • Should have experience in Structured lending / Project Finance
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in credit and/or risk
