Perform daily finance operations and regulatory BAU, including journal entries, bank and broker reconciliations, client money segregation and risk-based capital computation.
Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
Prepare and submit regulatory and tax filings, including MAS returns, GST returns and Corporate Income Tax returns.
Liaise with external auditor and tax consultants for audit and tax matters.
Support other finance-related ad-hoc assignments as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW or equivalent).
3-5 years of relevant experience in audit, financial reporting and/or regulatory reporting for a securities or capital markets firm.
Good understanding of MAS regulatory requirements applicable to Capital Markets Services (CMS) licensees.
Good understanding of financial products relating to bonds, securities and derivatives
Self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
