Professional Summary:

We are looking for a detailoriented finance analyst to support General Ledger reconciliations and monthend close activities for the insurance business under Singapore Life Ltd. This individual contributor role partners closely with Finance, Business, and IT teams to ensure accurate accounting between policy administration systems and the accounting platform, timely resolution of reconciling items, and strong financial controls. The role also contributes to system enhancements, UAT activities, and continuous process improvements to drive efficiency and data integrity.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform General Ledger reconciliations between policy administration systems and accounting systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of reconciling items.
  • Execute monthend close activities, including validation of accounting data, preparation of journals, and bad debt provisions.
  • Track, circulate, and follow up on outstanding balance sheet items with relevant stakeholders to ensure closure within agreed timelines.
  • Support system enhancements and operational effectiveness by contributing to process improvements, UAT activities, and issue resolution in collaboration with IT and business teams.
  • Provide finance technical support and participate in adhoc projects to strengthen financial controls and reporting quality.

Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma/ Degree in Accountancy
  • Experience: 12 years of relevant accounting experience with a solid understanding of doubleentry accounting and internal control principles.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset to deliver accurate results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Effective communicator with the ability to work confidently with stakeholders across teams
  • Technical Proficiency: Foundational knowledge of insurance products and their impact on finance and accounting processes.
