Overview Of Division/Department

The Project Finance Team of Asia-Pacific Corporate Banking Department, is responsible for the project finance business in Asia, excluding Japan. The Credit team is responsible for the portfolio management of project finance loans in Asia.

Job Responsibilities

  • Proactive risk management of portfolio of project finance transactions. Ongoing monitoring of financial performance / covenants to identify any deteriorating sign of the assets, and to develop appropriate action plans.
  • Preparation of credit reports to provide Management with regular updates of project status.
  • Conduct annual review on the portfolio, as well as perform financial analysis, including cashflow projection, financial modeling and sensitivity studies.
  • Appropriate portfolio and research analysis to assess the trends in the relevant sector/ market.
  • Presentation of waiver/ amendment requests to Management/ Credit Committee.
  • Negotiate terms and documentation for refinancing and restructurings.
  • Manage and liaise with syndicate members, advisors, legal counsel, Sponsors and Borrowers.
  • Liaise within the Bank, including the front (origination team), middle (credit administration) and back office (loans operations).

Job Requirements


  • Degree in Business/ Banking/ Finance/ Accountancy.
  • At least 5 years credit analysis experience.
  • Project Finance experience (preferred).
  • Restructuring skills or work-out skills (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, in particular financial modeling.
  • Strong team player with the ability to co-ordinate and manage multi-tasks within demanding timeframe.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of relevant areas of law and accounting standards will be highly desirable.
