Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Asia Construction team at Marsh Risk Singapore. This role will be based in Singapore. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least four days a week in the office.

This role supports the construction placement function by preparing underwriting submissions, coordinating with senior brokers, and helping deliver placement solutions that meet client needs. You will gain broad exposure across a small, collaborative team and work closely with carriers and clients on a range of accounts. This position offers a steep learning curve and strong opportunities for career development.

We will count on you to:

  • Prepare detailed underwriting submissions that clearly outline the risk profile of projects.
  • Work with senior brokers to develop placement solutions that meet client needs.
  • Implement the placement strategy developed with senior brokers to achieve growth goals and provide exceptional client service.
  • Facilitate submission of coverage specifications and obtain quotes from carriers.
  • Assist senior Placement colleagues during negotiations with insurance carriers by securing and comparing submissions.
  • Bind coverage and prepare all placement documentation.
  • Prepare proposal components for tenders and client submissions.
  • Be responsible for ongoing servicing of accounts which have been bound.

What you need to have:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in re/insurance industry, including broking, underwriting, or claims.
  • Relevant specialty experience in construction-related roles preferred.
  • Excellent people management, time management, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attained minimum Certificate in General Insurance (CGI) or equivalent. ANZIIF or ACII will be an advantage.
