Job Description

Position: Construction Quantity Surveyor (QS)

Job Scope & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare quantity take-off, cost estimates, quotations and tender submissions.

  • Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders (VO) and final accounts.

  • Review drawings, specifications, contracts and Bills of Quantities (BQ).

  • Carry out site measurement and verify actual work done.

  • Prepare and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.

  • Prepare subcontractor progress payments and monitor project costs.

  • Track project budget, costs, variations and contractual matters.

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors and suppliers on commercial matters.

  • Attend site meetings and coordinate with the project/site team when required.

  • Maintain proper records and supporting documents for claims, VO and final accounts.

  • Assist in tendering, procurement and cost comparison.

  • Ensure timely submission and follow-up of claims and commercial documents.

  • Perform other QS and project-related duties as assigned by the company.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Civil Engineering or related discipline.

  • Relevant experience in the Singapore construction industry is preferred.

  • Familiar with construction drawings, quantity take-off, BQ, progress claims, VO and final accounts.

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

  • Able to work independently and coordinate with site/project teams.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Candidates with experience in architectural works, wet trades, structural works or general building works will be an advantage.
