We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Teacher to join the team. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work with a supportive and experienced team, while also contributing to the growth and development of the next generation.
What you'll be doing
- Assist in receiving and sending off children during receiving and pickup time (supervised by trained staff)
- Assist in the execution of routine care duties e.g. feeding/meal time, diapering/toileting, bathing/washing, sleeping/napping
- Assist in the preparation of learning activities, teaching aids and learning corners
- Assist in cleaning/disinfecting of resources/toys
- Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activity plans for the class assigned. May be allowed to carry out the activity plans with the supervision of mentor teacher
- Assist in documenting observation of children or activities while carrying out activities with children
- Upkeep professionalism during course of work by:
Maintaining strict confidentiality about the children
Taking pride in your personal grooming
Adhering to the code of conduct at all times
Performing any other ad-hoc projects/duties as assigned by the Mentor Teacher / Principal from time to time
What we're looking for
- Minimum Fundamentals Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education.
- Experience working in a childcare or preschool setting preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- A passion for nurturing and supporting the growth and development of young children
