Assistant Store Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations.
• Supervise, guide, and motivate the retail team to achieve sales targets.
• Monitor individual and store sales performance and provide coaching where necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist with customer enquiries and feedback.
• Support staff scheduling, deployment, and daily task allocation.
• Ensure proper stock replenishment, stock handling, and inventory accuracy.
• Maintain merchandise displays according to company standards.
• Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times.
• Assist with stock takes, promotions, and other retail activities.
• Handle operational issues and escalate matters to the Store Manager when necessary.
• Train and guide new staff on company policies, products, and store procedures.
• Ensure all company policies, procedures, and service standards are followed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or Management.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of retail experience, preferably with supervisory or team-leading experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good leadership and people management skills.
• Sales-oriented with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
• Able to work independently and handle day-to-day operational matters.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Able to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Proficiency in English Mandarin-speaking ability is an advantage.
• Singapore Citizens / Permanent Residents preferred.
