(A)Essential Job Functions:
The Assistant Site Manager is responsible, but not limited to, the following:
- Monitor workmanship and ensure architectural finishes meet quality standards.
- Conduct inspections for walls, ceilings, flooring, façade works, and joinery.
- Identify defects early and coordinate rectification before inspections.
- Support the Site Manager in planning and sequencing architectural works.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to align schedules.
- Ensure materials logistics and site readiness for inspections (BIT, TOP, handover).
- Resolve on-site conflicts between architectural and M&E works.
- Adapt to unforeseen site conditions while maintaining design integrity.
- Propose practical solutions to accelerate progress without compromising quality.
- Review Building subcontractor/supplier performance assessment after work/services completion.
(B)Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of project management and site experience in building construction, including the successful completion of at least two full project life cycles.
- Possesses valid CONQUAS certification.
(C)Personality:
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to influence various stakeholders and build long term relationships.
- Ability to lead Building Engineers and provide supervision to all Building staff.
(D)Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong technical knowledge in current construction technologies.
- Strong understanding of general construction methods and in areas of building and structural details working drawings.
- Strong knowledge of local regulation and engineering standards.
- Strong time management skill with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyse and synthesize complex issues quickly and provide counter measures to settle the issues.
