Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant/Senior Finance Manager to join our team and play a key role in owning and delivering accurate, compliant, and timely execution of assigned finance operations modules. The role will also involve partnering with stakeholders to ensure strong financial control, reporting integrity, and operational efficiency.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Ownership
Take full accountability for assigned finance modules and cost centres, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of all transactions and reporting outputs.

2. Core Finance Operations
Manage and execute activities across relevant finance functions, including but not limited to Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), review and validate AP payment cycle, Cash & Bank, Fixed Assets (FA), General Ledger (GL), GST, and financial reporting. To ensure all transactional entries are accurate and properly recorded within the ERP system.

3. Financial Close Management
Lead and deliver month-end and year-end close processes for all modules, ensuring deadlines are met with high data integrity and alignment with internal and external stakeholders.

4. Reporting & Reconciliation
-Check validity of all transactions on monthly and annual management reports, audit schedules, and reconciliations (e.g., General Ledger, Trial Balance, Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Governmental Surveys).
-Maintain supporting schedules such as fixed assets registers and bank reconciliations.

5. GST Compliance
Prepare and submit quarterly GST submissions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accuracy at entity and submission to Head Office.

6. Financial Controls & Governance
-Document Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and maintain proper financial records in compliance with statutory and corporate requirements.
-Ensure all transactions are appropriately approved, documented, and reflected accurately in the ERP system.

7. Issue Resolution & Stakeholder Management
Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve accounting discrepancies with internal stakeholders, business units, and external partners (including ERP vendors), particularly those impacting financial reporting and close timelines.

8. Audit & Compliance Support
Support internal and external audit processes, including preparation of required documentation and participation in asset verification and inventory count exercises when assigned.

9. Continuous Improvement & Adaptability

-Contribute to ongoing enhancements in processes, systems, and overall finance operations to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

-Support finance-related committees through meeting coordination and preparation of relevant reports and insights.

-Remain flexible and responsive to evolving business priorities, taking on new or adjusted responsibilities in alignment with team and organisational needs.

10. Ad-hoc Support
Undertake additional tasks or projects as assigned by the Head of Department or CFO.

Performance Focus Areas

1. Accounts Payable (including review of payment batches) / Accounts Receivable (including POS reconciliation across business units) module assigned and month end/ year end closing matters.

2. GST submission and compliance

3. Bank reconciliations (ERP and excel version)

4. Fixed Assets management and reporting

5. Right-of-Use (ROU) asset schedules

6. Inventory accounting and reconciliation

Requirements
Education: At least Degree in Accountancy

Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of relevant accounting/ Finance work experience, preferably in Linen, F&B industries

Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel (esp Pivot, Vlookup etc, Word, PowerPoint),

  • Have experience in managing full set of accounts, familiarity with Synergix ERP would be an added advantage,

  • Energetic and able to work well in a fast-paced, high work volume, results-oriented, collaborative environment,

  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision and under pressure within tight schedules,

  • Resourceful, active team player with good interpersonal and willingness to learn,

  • Meticulous, organized and able to handle data entries accurately and efficiently,

  • Exposures to Finance related AI softwares eg RPA, Power BI.
