Responsibilities
- Assist the Senior Technical Manager / Technical Manager / Laboratory Manager on all research and innovation projects and any other works to meet the KPI of the department
- Carry out research and development of new construction and pavement engineering materials
- Conduct testing on aggregate, asphalt, concrete, bitumen, emulsion, granular base / subbase, cement-treated base and any other construction materials
- Assist in quality assurance and/or quality control of company products
- Conduct testing and prepare test reports for submission to clients
- Perform field pavement testing
- Assist in SAC SINGLAS accreditation
- Prepare quotations and invoices for the test services provided to clients
- Assist in drafting proposal for tender submission and securing research fund
- Provide technical support for all companies in the Group
- Assist in in-house training for company staff and stakeholders (e.g. students from IHLS)
- Assist in hosting of visitors to Samwoh Smart Hub
- Be responsible for any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time as your superior(s) / management deem fit.
Requirements
. Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering or related field of studies
. Good communication, written and interpersonal skills
. Able to build effective interpersonal communication with colleagues
. Be able to work in a team with all colleagues to achieve business outcomes
. Good analytical skills on data and results collected
. Highly motivated individual
