Job Description

The Sales Excellence and Assurance (SEA) is Line 1.5 function serves as a dedicated control unit embedded in Distribution. It sets out to enhance the quality and reliability of risk and control within all Distribution channels with following key deliverables:

  • Robust and sustainable sales governance frameworks and standards
  • Automated and efficient processes and systems supporting sales governance
  • Consistent application of sales advisory, supervisory, and coaching practices
  • Enhanced oversight, transparency, and regulatory readiness

In the Quality Assurance team, successful candidate will be responsible in the driving automated and efficient processes and systems supporting sales governance, working closely with the sales governance frameworks and standards to support consistent application of sales advisory, supervisory, and coaching practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Process & System Automation

  • Lead development, automation, and ongoing maintenance of sales governance systems and workflows.
  • Drive digitisation to improve efficiency, transparency, and auditability of sales governance activities in Sales Advisory Process, Sales Supervision & Validation and ongoing development of sales representatives and supervisors
  • Partner with Sales, Risk, Compliance, Training, and Technology teams to ensure alignment and effective execution.

Sales Advisory Process

  • Design and govern end‑to‑end sales advisory processes, including needs analysis, product suitability, disclosures, and documentation.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of advisory standards across all sales channels through the sales advisory tool

Sales Supervision & Validation

  • Support in the development supervisory and validation frameworks, including quality assurance and post‑sales reviews.
  • Monitor and analyse sales conduct trends to identify gaps and drive continuous improvement.

Coaching & Sales Capability

  • Support in automating the governance standards for coaching, performance management, and ongoing development of sales representatives and supervisors
  • Embed structured coaching frameworks and track effectiveness through defined metrics and tools in development of the tool.

Requirements:

  • At least a diploma and above. Degree preferred.
  • At least 5-year experience in training and competence / compliance audit/ sales governance in Financial Services industry in an insurer and/or licensed financial adviser firm set-up
  • Proven capability or experience in process design and system automation
  • Strong understanding of sales advisory, supervision, and coaching standards life and health insurance, unit trusts, securities
  • Good knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines eg. FAA, SFA, LIA MUs & MCs, GI would be an advantage
  • Possess the relevant licensing examinations: CMFAS Module 5, 8, 8A, 9, 9A, and Certificate in Health Insurance; or equivalents; professional qualification in AFC, AFP, ChFC, etc would be an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and good interpersonal skill
