Assistant Production Planner (Manufacturing)

Job Description

• Create production schedules for production lines, ensuring that production targets are met and customer orders are fulfilled.
• Analyze production data and adjust production schedules as necessary to ensure efficient use of company resources.
• Work with the sales team to understand customer demand and adjust production schedules accordingly.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure that raw materials and components are available in a timely manner.
• Monitor inventory levels and adjust production schedules to maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Coordinate with quality control personnel to ensure that production meets quality standards and customer specifications.
• Continuously monitor production processes and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Prepare reports on production schedules, inventory levels, and production metrics for management review.
• Proficiency in MS Office and other office software, as well as good data analysis skills.
• Work closely with the production team to resolve any production process issues and minimize production delays and quality problems.
• Liaising with forwarders and customers to coordinate schedules and delivery arrangements

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of work experience in supply planning or related roles within manufacturing organizations
• Minimum Diploma in Inventory Management or equivalent or any other related field.
• On-the- job trained in the company
• Exceptional coordination and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication skills for managing customers and team interactions.
• Ability to work a 5.5-day work week (alternate Saturdays).
