Assistant Nurse Manager/Nurse Manager (5 days office hours) #HGN

Key Responsibilities

. Oversee the team of registered and enrolled nurses, nursing aides, healthcare assistants.

. Responsible for compliance of all nursing standards as stipulated by Ministry of health (MOH) and Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).

. Promote evidence-based practices or nursing care delivery.

. Ensure written policies and procedures and work process are available and up to date to guide the nursing care delivery.

. Ensure the smooth transition of residents from acute to chronic care and back to the community, where possible.

. Direct care of the residents to ensure compliance to standards.

. Ensure appropriate skills mix and adequate manpower resourcing for all shifts and types of services.

. Facilitate staff development, skills and competency upgrading through various opportunities. These may include formal education, in-house training or approved online learning programmes.

. Guide orientation/induction programmes and preceptorship for all new staff.

. Support the DON in nursing home management.

Qualifications

. Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse in Singapore (General/ Dementia/ Psychiatric)

. Valid nursing licensure with Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) and appropriate certifications

. Bachelor's degree or diploma in nursing

. Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years of management experience & IPC trained

. Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills

. Excellent understanding of nursing practices and procedures

. Experience in geriatric care desirable

. Ability to work effectively in a team environment

. Excellent problem-solving skills
