Job Description
. Prepare vessel design specification based on client requirement and class rules.
. Monitor on design progress and reply class comments or revise drawings, calculations accordingly.
. In-charge of Technical issues on equipment vendors and shipyard requests.
. Prepare detail structural designs, piping systems, machinery arrangement drawings, Safety Plan and Fire Control Plan.
. Proficient in Design software AutoCAD, Autohydro, GHS, NAVCAD, Maxsurf
. Perform Intact and Damage Stability Calculations based on type of vessels, class notation and flag requirement.
. Prepare lines plan, weight estimation, lightship survey, inclining experiments report.
. Prepare Midship Section Modulus Calculation, Tonnage Calculation, Freeboard Calculation, Structural
. Analysis on Deck machinery foundations and Longitudinal Strength calculations.
. Provide preliminary technical specification, GA, Tank Plan, Deadweight estimation for design tender department.
. Familiar with BV,ABS, Lloyds standards and other IMO statutory regulations.
Requirements
.Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture
.Relevant experience in marine design for the above vessel types
.Advanced user of Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD, and Adobe Acrobat and standard calculation software for naval architects.
.Possess working knowledge of fundamentals in naval architecture, and application of engineering principles
.Knowledge of engineering analysis techniques and tools/software applications used in naval architectural engineering
.Knowledge in the studies and optimization of hull form using naval architect knowledge coupled with model testing for the purpose of minimizing resistance or improvement of seakeeping performance
.Outstanding graduates in Marine Engineering or related maritime fields are also welcome to apply.
