Assistant Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and coordination support to Facility Management and Project Teams for fire protection systems.

• Coordinate maintenance, inspection, and servicing schedules for fire protection systems (e.g. sprinklers, hose reels, fire piping).

• Assist in preparing, updating, and managing technical drawings, layouts, and documentation related to fire protection systems.

• Support project submissions, regulatory documentation, and compliance records with relevant authorities.

• Liaise with engineers, site supervisors, contractors, consultants, and clients on operational and facility-related matters.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance logs, inspection reports, material lists, and technical documentation.

• Ensure proper filing and version control of drawings, documents, emails, and correspondence.

• Attend site inspections, coordination meetings, and audits when required, and assist with meeting minutes and follow-ups.

• Handle general administrative duties related to facility operations and ongoing projects.

• Perform any other duties assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

Diploma or equivalent qualification in Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.

Prior experience in fire protection systems, facilities management, or the construction/engineering industry is advantageous.

Basic knowledge of fire protection systems and mechanical drawings.

Comfortable handling a mix of administrative, coordination, site-related, and documentation tasks.

Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Willing to work overtime or weekends when required (off-in-lieu provided).

Class 3 driving licence
